The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Heat at Bulls: What Bettors Need to Know

Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls (-2, 181.5)
Chicago Leads Series 1-0

THE STORY: The Chicago Bulls have been one of the NBA's stingiest clubs all season long, and that defensive prowess was on display in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final. The Bulls limited Miami's high-powered offense to 34 second-half points in a 103-82 win that established Chicago as the team to beat in the series. The clubs tangle again in Game 2 Wednesday night at the United Center.

TV: 8:30 p.m. ET, TNT

ABOUT THE BULLS: Chicago was one of the only teams in the NBA who had little trouble handling the Heat in the regular season, and that dominance extended into Game 1 of their best-of-seven. The Bulls overcame an early eight-point deficit with emphasis, keeping Dwyane Wade and LeBron James off-balance for most of the night while crushing Miami on the offensive glass by a 19-6 margin. League MVP Derrick Rose led the way with 28 points while hitting three of Chicago's 10 3-pointers. Luol Deng added four 3-pointers of his own, helping compensate for a bad shooting night from center Joakim Noah.

ABOUT THE HEAT: Aside from Chris Bosh, the Heat looked largely underwhelming in their first game since a five-game whitewash of the Boston Celtics in the conference semifinal. Bosh had 30 points, but cohorts James and Wade shot just 12 for 32 from the field as they struggled to get off quality shots against a persistent Bulls defense. Miami made just three field goals during an 11 1/2-minute stretch of the third and fourth quarters, seeing a one-point lead turn into a 17-point deficit they were unable to erase. Deng limited James to 5 of 15 shooting and will draw the same assignment in Game 2.

WHO'S HOT/WHO'S NOT: Bosh enjoyed his best game of the postseason, hitting 12 of 18 attempts and making all six of his free throws. He averaged just 12.8 points against Boston. Noah was ice-cold in Game 1, making just 4 of 14 shots from the field to finish with nine points.

KEY STATISTIC: 16 - The number of Miami turnovers in Game 1. The Heat were a -7 in that department, and will need to take better care of the ball to avoid going back to Miami down 2-0 in the series.

TRENDS:

* Under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings in Chicago.
* Home team is 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings.
* Under is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings.
* Underdog is 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
* Heat are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Chicago.
* Heat are 0-3-1 ATS in the last four meetings.

LAST WORD: "We took it on the chin, in virtually all the effort areas. We'll adjust ... Certainly the fistfight under the glass will be a start." - Heat coach Erik Spolestra.

PICK 'N' ROLL

Wednesday's Best NBA Bet

Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls (-2, 181.5)

You never thought Keith Bogans, Ronnie Brewer and Loul Deng would be the keys to the Eastern Conference this year, did you? The three Chicago defenders have been lockdown since a Game 1 loss in the Eastern Conference semifinals to the Atlanta Hawks.

Since then, the trio of physical, wing defenders managed to put the clamps on Atlanta’s Jamal Crawford and Joe Johnson. After Game 1 of the conference finals, you can add Dwyane Wade and LeBron James to that list.

“It’s hard to attack on the front side of the defense because they load on the strong side,” James said. “So you have to be able to get the ball from one side to another and attack their defense. They have a lot of athleticism. So you have to be patient.”

Philadelphia’s perimeter defenders were long on athleticism but short on talent. Boston’s physical approach had plenty of talented veterans, but not enough speed or length. Chicago has boatloads of both.

In Game 1, a 103-82 Bulls win, the Heat had one of their biggest flaws exposed by that trio – an over-reliance on points from the free-throw line. Miami is 0-3 in the playoffs when attempting fewer than 20 charity tosses and managed a mere 15 in the series opener.

Neither Wade nor LeBron attempted a free throw in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Bulls seem to be comfortable with the approach LeBron suggested the Heat using in Game 2: rotating the ball to the weak side for jumpers from Chris Bosh, Mario Chalmers and Mike Bibby. In Game 1, Bosh had 30 and Miami still got blown out.

Look for more of the same in Game 2.

MLB NEWS AND NOTES
MLB Betting: Phillies Host Colorado Rockies
By: Michael Robinson

Colorado Rockies at Philadelphia Phillies (-140, 7.5)

The Colorado Rockies haven’t had much luck against the Philadelphia Phillies in recent years. They begin a quick 2-game series in the City of Brotherly Love on ESPN’s Wednesday Night Baseball.

Colorado will send Jorge De La Rosa (5-1, 3.70 ERA) to the mound at Citizens Bank Park at 4:05 p.m. (PT). Philadelphia will counter will one of its four aces in Cole Hamels (4-2, 3.19 ERA).

This is the first meeting between the teams this year. Colorado was just 1-6 against its NL East counterpart last season, getting swept in a four-game series in Philadelphia.

The Rockies are 4-18 in the meetings over the last three years, 2-10 in Philadelphia. That includes the 2009 wild-card round (3-1 Phillies series win).

Philadelphia (25-15) leads the NL East by a game over Florida, but has dropped three straight pending Tuesday night’s result at St. Louis. That’s the end of an eight-game road trip (3-4 so far).

The offense has been a problem the last three games (six total runs) and in May in total (3.36 runs per game, 13th in the NL).

The Rockies (21-18) are just a half-game behind San Francisco in the mediocre NL West. They went for a two-game home sweep over San Fran on Tuesday (result pending). That will conclude an eight-game homestand (3-4 so far).

Pitching has been the problem for Colorado in May with the NL’s highest ERA (4.92). Ubaldo Jimenez, a 19-game winner last year, has been a huge disappointment all season (6.67 ERA). The Rockies have lost all six of his starts.

De La Rosa has been one of the May culprits (5.60 ERA). The Rockies have lost two of his three starts. Ironically, they won (12-7) his worst outing this month, five runs allowed over 5 1/3 innings versus San Diego last Friday.

The ‘under’ is 4-1 in De La Rosa’s road starts this season and 9-1 in his last 10 away.

The 30-year-old lefty hasn’t faced the Phillies since 2009. He was 0-2 in two starts with a combined 11.17 ERA. One of those was seven-runs allowed over five innings at Citizens Bank Park. He’s 0-2 lifetime there in two starts (14.04 ERA).

Philadelphia is 26-9 in its last 35 games against left-handed starters and a stunning 9-1 this season.

Hamels is incredibly the fourth starter on this team. That’s what happens with Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee and Roy Oswalt in the rotation. He last pitched Friday, allowing four earned runs over six innings in a 5-4 win at Atlanta. Philly is 6-1 in his last seven starts.

The 27-year-old lefty has a much lower ERA away (2.25) than at home (4.25). However, that’s skewed by an awful home opener against the Mets on April 5 (six earned runs over 2 2/3 innings). His ERA in his last three home starts is just 2.35.

Hamels also hasn’t faced Colorado since the 2009 wild-card round. He surrendered four earned runs over five innings in a 5-4 home loss.

Philadelphia is 13-7 at home this year (+1.6 units). The ‘under’ is 5-2-1 in its last eight home games.

Colorado is 11-8 on the road (+2.3 units), but has lost its last four there.

Philadelphia outfielder Shane Victorino (hamstring injury) was doubtful Tuesday after missing the prior two games. His .846 OBP is really missed in the lineup especially with Chase Utley (knee) out the whole year so far.

Weather will be in the upper 60s with rain and possible thunder. The scheduled pitching matchup on Thursday is Joe Blanton against Jhoulys Chacin.

Wednesday's Best MLB Bets

Colorado Rockies at Philadelphia Phillies (-140, 7.5)

The Rockies had lost four out of five heading into a mini two-game set against the Giants but they swept away San Francisco in dramatic fashion and head into Philly on a high.

Down 3-1 heading into the bottom of the eighth, the Colorado offense erupted for four runs to book a 5-3 win as a -150 favorite. What was probably more important than the win itself was the fact that Carlos Gonzalez delivered the big two-run single to put the Rockies ahead for good, just a day after he swatted the deciding three-run jack off Tim Lincecum.

"If we are who we think we are we have to beat good teams like the Giants," shortstop Troy Tulowitzki told reporters following Tuesday’s victory.

The Rockies have a tough task to extend their winning streak to three games against Cole Hamels and the Phillies, but it’s worth a shot while they’re riding this momentum.

PICK: Rockies

Atlanta Braves at Arizona Diamondbacks (+105, 9.5)

Brian McCann played hero for the Braves on Tuesday, delivering a pinch-hit homer in the ninth inning to tie the game and then a two-run shot in the 11th to give Atlanta a 3-1 win, the club’s fourth straight victory.

"I was very pleased today. It doesn't get much better," McCann told reporters. “To see (starter) Derek Lowe pitch the way he did and come in and tie it up in the ninth then win it in extras was something special."

The Braves, who had allowed at least five runs in four consecutive games before they got on their winning streak, have given up just eight runs since.

More good news is that Jason Heyward is back in the lineup after missing six starts with a sore shoulder, while Chipper Jones also suited up after missing his last two.

Atlanta sends Julio Teheran to the mound for his second career start after the youngster looked pretty good in a 3-0 loss the first time he took the ball in the bigs. You can bet the Braves will help him out in this one.

Sharks at Canucks: What Bettors Need To Know

San Jose Sharks at Vancouver Canucks (-150, 5.5)
Vancouver Leads Series 1-0

THE STORY: A late rally helped the Vancouver Canucks secure the opening game of the Western Conference final. They'll look to build on that third-period momentum Wednesday when they entertain the San Jose Sharks in Game 2. San Jose has lost four of its last five postseason games and will need a stronger finishing effort Wednesday to avoid returning California down 2-0 in the best-of-seven.

TV: 9 p.m. ET, Versus, CBC

ABOUT THE CANUCKS: Sunday's opener belonged to the Sharks for the first 40 minutes, but the Canucks put together a strong third-period effort behind goals from Kevin Bieksa and Henrik Sedin to escape with a 3-2 win. Henrik Sedin finally came to life, setting up the tying goal and scoring the winner less than 90 seconds later. He has just two goals so far in the postseason, but had one of his best games of the playoffs Sunday. The Canucks hope that might spark an offense that had plenty of chances Sunday but had trouble beating San Jose netminder Antti Niemi, who stopped 35 shots and looked solid throughout. Vancouver netminder Roberto Luongo made 27 saves, but had a costly giveaway that led to the Sharks' opening goal.

ABOUT THE SHARKS: Much of the talk following Sunday's loss was whether San Jose had simply run out of gas in the third period after being taken to seven games by the Detroit Red Wings the series before. Head coach Todd McLellan agreed with that assessment. "I thought our team looked tired," he said. "I thought our team looked sluggish. There are nights when we lose our legs but our minds are still pretty sharp. And that was not the case (Sunday). We were like dogs chasing on the freeway. We just weren't catching anybody." An extra day of rest between Games 1 and 2 should benefit San Jose, as will firing more shots at Luongo. The Sharks had just seven in the pivotal third period and were outshot 38-29 for the game.

WHO'S HOT/WHO'S NOT: Canucks F Ryan Kesler extended his point streak to six games with an assist in Game 1. He has five goals and seven assists in that span. Sharks F Patrick Marleau has scored in back-to-back games after being held without a goal over his previous seven contests.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Vancouver finished 1 for 4 with the man advantage Sunday night, while San Jose converted its only power-play chance.

TRENDS:

* Favorite is 11-3 in the last 14 meetings.
* Over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings.
* Sharks are 1-4 in the last five meetings.

LAST WORD: Sharks D Jason Demers is hopeful he'll be in the lineup for Game 2 after sitting out the opener with what McLellan called "bumps and bruises." Kent Huskins took Demers' spot in the lineup and will likely stay there if Demers can't go Wednesday.

Wednesday's Best NHL Bet

San Jose Sharks at Vancouver Canucks (-155, 5.5)

Antti Niemi might finally be getting a little gassed.

The Shark’s outstanding goaltender has seen miles of rubber the past two weeks. Over that span, San Jose has been outshot in five of their past six games and is just 2-3 in those contests. It’s not like it’s just an extra few shots, either.

San Jose is getting outshot by an average of nearly six shots per game over its past six and Niemi has been good but not great in those matchups. During that time, the Sharks goaltender is giving up an average of 3.1 goals per night.

Niemi already has proven his focus can drift from time to time. He was pulled twice in an opening round series against the Los Angeles Kings and committed an egregious error in Game 1 that led directly to a Vancouver goal.

"I thought our team looked tired. I thought our team looked sluggish," San Jose coach Todd McLellan said. "There's nights when we lose our legs, but our minds are still pretty sharp, and I didn't think that was the case tonight. It started between the ears and it worked all the way through the body. We were like dogs chasing cars on the freeway. We just weren't catching anybody."

Meantime, the Canucks appear to be heating up.

Vancouver is 5-for-16 on the power play the past five games and is averaging three goals per game over that span. With Niemi tiring, look for them to take advantage of both trends in Game 2.

“This is about playing the right way for us,” said Vancouver forward Henrik. “We get chances by playing that way. We don't get chances by cheating (on defense) or doing stuff like that.”

Wednesday's Betting Tips: Barkley Hypes Bulls' D

Who’s Hot

NBA: Chicago has covered in five of its last six overall.

NHL: The favorite has won 11 of the last 14 meetings between the Canucks and Sharks.

MLB: Houston is 11-5 in its last 16 games against St. Louis.

Who’s Not

NBA: Just one of Miami’s last six have played under the total.

NHL: The under is 3-12-1 in San Jose’s last 16 road games.

MLB: Colorado is 3-8 in its last 11 overall and is 7-19 in its last 26 meetings with Philadelphia.

Key Stat

19-6 – The Chicago Bulls owned the offensive glass in Game 1 of their series with the Miami Heat, grabbing 19 offensive boards to only six for Miami. The Heat went with a small lineup and paid for it, getting outrebounded 45-33 overall, which has the club considering some changes to its starting five for Game 2.

Injury That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

Rafael Soriano, New York Yankees – The pricey setup man in the Yanks’ bullpen hasn’t looked right for much of this season and finally landed on the 15-day DL Tuesday with an unspecified elbow injury. He’s working on a 5.40 ERA in 11 innings of work this year.

Game Of The Day

Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls (-2, 181.5)

Notable Quotable

"I got into an argument with a guy the other day. I've been in the NBA since 1984, and this Bulls team defensively is probably the best team defensively I've ever seen. He starts throwing names out there, ‘What about the Bad Boys [Detroit Pistons teams of the late '80s]?' Just because teams beat the hell out of you, that don't make them good defensively. – Charles Barkley said of the Chicago Bulls on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000.

Tips And Notes

The Oakland Athletics suffered a big loss to their starting rotation with the news that lefty Dallas Braden will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn capsule in his throwing shoulder. Braden was 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA this season. He threw a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays last season.

It didn’t take long for the NHL’s Western Conference finals to turn a little ugly. CBC’s Elliote Friedman reports that Sharks center Joe Thornton challenged Vancouver’s Ryan Kesler to fight as the pair lined up for the opening faceoff in Game 1. Kesler reportedly laughed off the challenge while Thornton replied “no” when asked if he was surprised Kesler turned down his invitation.

Nehro, who finished second at the Kentucky Derby to Animal Kingdom, will be kept out of the second leg of the Triple Crown when Saturday’s Preakness goes. Nehro’s owner, Ahmed Zayat, told reporters of his decision Tuesday, paving the way for Isn’t He Perfect to join the field.
